It’s a tough job – but we’re happy to take it on…we’re searching for New Zealand’s finest chocolate.
On Saturday 7 March 2020 an esteemed panel of food professionals lead by international chocolate judge Elle Coco will smell, taste and assess a selection of New Zealand chocolate to find and name the country’s finest.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal winners will be named on Tuesday 31 March and the NZ Chocolate Awards Supreme Winner will be announced on Tuesday 21 April.

Supreme Winner announced at Champions Party in Auckland
Foundry Chocolate was named NZ Chocolate Awards 2020 Supreme Winner for its Foundry Chocolate Anamalai Estate, India 70%. Foundry is also Category Winner with the same bar in the Bean-to-Bar – Chocolate Bar Plain Category. The Supreme Award and the Category Winner titles were accompanied by seven Gold Medals and five Silver Medals.

The Supreme Winner of the 2018 NZ Chocolate Awards is Hogarth Chocolate, Buttered Toast & Sea Salt Judges described this chocolate as “irresistible, exceptional, unique and flawless.”
